Where Familiarity Meets New Beginnings

On September 29, G&B employees joined World Vision for a volunteer activity preparing lunchboxes.

This time, we were joined by several colleagues who became part of G&B this year. In the kitchen, a sense of familiarity built over time naturally came together with the unfamiliarity of new beginnings.

For those who usually spend busy days in their respective roles, coming together to prepare lunchboxes offered a small pause in the rhythm of everyday life. As the preparations continued, conversations along the way gave us a chance to get to know one another a little better. By the time we sat down for a meal together after the activity, the day was filled with laughter and shared moments.

Each meal prepared for the children carried the many hands that came together, along with the quiet care behind them. Once again, the day reminded us that it does not always take a grand promise to make a difference — sometimes, simply coming together to prepare one meal can bring a little warmth to someone’s day.

G&B will continue to carry this spirit of giving forward together with our new colleagues, making room for meaningful acts of care in our everyday lives. As more people come together, we hope that more hearts will join in, allowing these small acts to continue to make a difference.
